About Matt Miller

I’ve spent my career building sales organizations—not selling a playbook.

For more than 25 years, I’ve built and led sales, revenue operations, and growth organizations inside global enterprises, PE-backed companies, and earlier-stage businesses.

That range taught me that every company needs sales discipline—but not the same amount of process, technology, or infrastructure. The right answer has to fit the business.

Why Blazemakr

Find what is actually holding sales back.

I started Blazemakr after repeatedly seeing companies respond to disappointing sales by replacing the leader, pushing the reps harder, buying another tool, or introducing a new methodology—often before they understood what was actually wrong.

Blazemakr brings together the work I’ve done throughout my career: finding what is holding sales back, building teams and systems that perform, embedding technology into the sales motion, and helping sales leaders grow into what the business needs next.

Matt Miller on a mountain trail

The belief behind the business

A financial model I built once showed that the leadership structure—including my own role—did not fit the economics of the business. I shared what the analysis showed rather than defend the job I had been hired to do.

Businesses need the truth more than they need someone protecting a predetermined answer.

Experience scaled to fit

Enterprise rigor without enterprise complexity

I have worked at nearly every level of a sales organization—from leading frontline teams to building and running a 500-person revenue operation.

At PayPal and Paychex, I learned what strong sales infrastructure looks like at scale. At PE-backed CoAdvantage and PrimePay, I worked through integration, transformation, and the pressure to produce results while the business was changing. Through my work with Toba Capital, I also helped smaller, earlier-stage companies where resources were limited and practical answers were needed quickly.

I can see what a mature revenue organization should become, but I also know how to build toward it without burdening a growing company with processes, tools, or overhead it does not need yet.

Making change stick

A good idea is only the beginning.

My work has rarely stopped at strategy. I have built new sales teams, scaled successful organizations, repaired underperforming operations, developed leaders, and introduced new processes and technology while remaining accountable for the result.

The real work is designing the change around the business, introducing it to the team, measuring what happens, and following through until it becomes how the organization operates.

That is especially important with CRM, call recording, analytics, and AI. The value comes from connecting the technology to the sales process, management cadence, coaching, and Voice of the Customer—then getting the team to use it consistently.

What you can expect

Straight answers, practical design, and follow-through.

  • Diagnose before prescribing
  • Build for the company’s actual size and stage
  • Involve the team rather than work around them
  • Stay close enough to implementation to make the change stick
  • Leave the business stronger and less dependent on outside help

The goal is not to make Blazemakr indispensable. It is to build a better sales organization that can continue performing after the engagement ends.

Let’s talk about what you’re seeing.

You do not need to know which engagement you need or have the problem fully defined. Start with what you are seeing, and we’ll determine whether Blazemakr can help.
